**The Liquor Consumption Pilot Program concluded on September 30, 2023. Residents are reminded the consumption of liquor in Richmond parks is no longer permitted and is subject to regulations under the Public Park and School Ground Bylaw.
Liquor Consumption in Parks Pilot Program
The City is conducting the Liquor Consumption in Parks Pilot Program which will allow responsible consumption of liquor in designated areas in following three parks:
Aberdeen Neighbourhood Park
Garry Point Park
King George/Cambie Community Park.
Residents will be able to enjoy an alcoholic beverage in these parks between 11:00am–9:00pm daily, until September 30, 2023.
In each of these parks, there is a designated “Liquor Permitted Consumption Zone” where alcoholic beverages may be consumed. For more information on the location of these zones in each park included in the pilot program, please review the pilot project site signage.
Please note: liquor consumption is only permitted in the zones highlighted in yellow as shown on the maps.
In order to assess this program, the City would like your feedback. What did you like about it? How do you think we can improve if this program were continue at some time in the future? What else would you like us to be aware of?
