In response to recent speeding concerns expressed by area residents on Dyke Road, the City’s Transportation Department has developed traffic calming options in the Dyke Road area. This includes:
A speed limit reduction from 50 km/hr to 30 km/hr on Dyke Road and other local roads in the neighbourhood (London Road, Princess Street, Princess Lane).
One raised crosswalk and two speed cushions on Dyke Road to slow traffic.
Initial feedback from the public consultation held at Steveston Community Centre on September 4, 2024 indicated residents were in favour of these proposed traffic calming measures.
To help determine the level of support of these measures, please scroll down to the survey section and click on the link to complete a short online survey.
The deadline to submit feedback is Sunday, October 20, 2024.
