The Affordable Housing Strategy update will take place over five phases with several opportunities for public engagement throughout the process.
City staff completed Part 1 of the Community Profile phase, which was a compilation of key demographic and housing statistics.
Part 2 is now underway - the Community Profile - which involves engaging the community to understand housing affordability concerns in Richmond. You can participate by reviewing the information on this site and by completing the survey before midnight on Sunday, July 3, 2016.
Engagement and input from the public and a wide range of community partners and stakeholders will be sought to receive input on:
the “lived experience” of Richmond’s residents, employees, employers and other community members with respect to housing affordability concerns;
challenges in implementing the City’s current affordable housing policies; and
potential gaps and ideas for future policy direction.
The
City of Richmond is updating its Affordable Housing Strategy and needs your
help to identify and prioritize local housing issues and needs. You are invited
to take part in a brief (5 to 10 minute) survey. Your input will help shape
updated goals, strategies and actions for the City’s involvement in addressing
local affordable housing issues. There will be more opportunities for
engagement throughout the Affordable Housing Strategy update.
