Background

The draft Seniors Strategy is intended to guide the City and stakeholders in delivering seniors-related initiatives over the next 10 years.

The strategy is based on learnings from previous achievements, current community context, research and best practices, and community engagement findings. It is the result of many stakeholders' ongoing collaboration and commitment to addressing the needs of seniors in Richmond.

The purpose of this survey is to collect feedback on the draft strategy to inform the final Seniors Strategy that will be presented to City Council in Fall 2022. The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

    The Seniors Strategy 2022–2032 includes:

    • a new vision statement 
    • five strategic directions
    • a set of recommended actions intended to guide the City and community stakeholders in supporting and addressing the needs of seniors in Richmond over the next 10 years. 

     
    The Seniors Strategy identifies priority strategic directions and actions to be taken by the City in collaboration with community stakeholders that address aspects of seniors’ lives that impact healthy aging. 

     This survey is divided into three parts. 

    1. Part 1 – Vision and Strategic Directions
    2. Part 2 – Overall feedback
    3. Part 3 – Demographics 


    For each question in Part 1, please review the information provided and indicate how strongly you agree or disagree with each question’s statement. In Part 2 of the survey, there is an opportunity to provide additional comments.
