Help guide the future creation of the Lansdowne Parks and Open Space

The City of Richmond is beginning its work to create the Lansdowne Parks and Open Space Master Plan.

This plan is part of the overall strategy for the redevelopment of the entire Lansdowne Centre property over the course of several years. Lansdowne will be transformed into a vibrant mixed-use community with homes, shopping, commercial space, amenities and parks.

The parks will provide vital public green and open space for people of all ages and abilities to get outside, get active, connect, play, gather, relax, and celebrate.

Your input at this early stage is important as we develop themes and character for the parks and open spaces on the property.

How you can participate

There are a number of ways you and your family can share input on ideas we are presenting to you.

  • In-person: a number of drop-in style open houses (for all ages)
  • Online: here on Let's Talk Richmond. Please complete the survey by 11:59pm, Sunday, April 13, 2025.

The goal of the Master Plan

The goal of the master plan is to guide the detailed design and creation of the public open spaces to be incorporated into the future redevelopment of the historic Lansdowne Centre shopping mall property.

Feedback gathered will help inform the development of a final Lansdowne Park Master Plan which will be presented to Council for consideration.
