The City of Richmond is updating its current Official Community Plan (OCP) to enable the City to better manage social, environmental and economical changes. For the past two years, the City has been gathering community input for the 2041 OCP Update that will guide Richmond's future to 2041. This process led to the preparation of the draft 2041 OCP Update Concept.
The next step is for the City to undertake further neighbourhood consultation in the Burkeville and Edgemere areas regarding granny flats and coach houses. Click for more information. The City will also consult with the public when a draft of the actual new 2041 OCP is prepared.

Public Survey - Granny Flats and Coach Houses Burkeville and Edgemere
The City of Richmond is proposing to enact Development Permit Guidelines to control the form and character of granny flats and coach houses in Burkeville and the portion of Edgemere with rear lanes, located between Williams Road, Wilkinson/Maddocks Roads, No. 4 Road and Shell Road.
